Proofreader Position

You will be reading over the translation files before they are sent to the typesetter. As a proofreader, you'll need to be fluent in English and have excellent grammar and spelling skills. You will be checking for the following:
  • Spelling and grammar errors,
  • Sentences that do not make sense,
  • Any inconsistencies in plot, if possible,
  • The file is easy to follow, etc.

There is no test at the moment, but there will be one uploaded in the near future. In the meantime, please submit your application forms in this thread.

*Please note that I am not going to pay you. This is strictly a volunteer position.

What you'll need to post in your application:
Quote
Email Address:
Do you have Photoshop experience? How long?
Have you had experience with another group? If so, where and how long?
Any questions/comments:

Hi,
I would love to volunteer to be a proof reader. I'm from Western Canada, which means I have an excellent grasp of the English language and grammar. I have no experience, but I do tend to correct spelling, grammar errors, and sentences in my head while I'm reading a scanlation. Yes, I have 3 years of photo shop experience. I have plenty of time on my hands due to; two separate knee injuries. I hope that I'll be able to be of some use to you all. Thank you! My email is cathy.hatter@gmail.com
